Extrusion

Semi-finished profiles such as plates, rods and tubes are manufactured through the process of feeding thermoplastic resin pellets into an extruder. The pellets are melted as they are conveyed within the barrel of the extruder by a screw. The extruder screw generates pressures that force the molten product through a mould or die to form a continuous profile. Rapid cooling at the exit of the die ensures the stock shape profile produced has consistent mechanical properties, is flat with good surface finish and within industry recognised dimensional tolerances.
