The Global EPP Technical Centre is where the development of both products and processing equipment through technical innovation is achieved. Four decades of experience plus collaboration with large blue chip companies and leading polymer universities ensure that Global EPP remain at the cutting edge of developments within the engineering plastics industry.
Existing and developmental products can be fully characterised with an extensive research and development facility available to provide a strong support and service function to the company. Continuous development of new materials can be delivered to a global market through improvements in capability and efficiency of our processing methodology. The Technical Centre can provide the service or material charecterisation, employing equipment such as tensometers, impact testers, wear testers, DSC and FTIR as well as other specialised equipment. Coordinate measuring facilities with reverse engineering capability are located in this area along with surface finish and traditional measuring instrumentation to offer comprehensive physical evaluation of component parts or samples. Therefore any mechanical, thermal, physical or electrical property can be determined for any engineering plastic material in the market, which can be critical in supporting applications knowledge.
Training facilities within the Technical Centre are used as part of the continuous training and development within Global EPP both for the UK and sophisticated technology and know-how transfers in the for of turn-key installations. Comprehensive commissioning and training is carried out along with the provision of strong support and service functions. Web Cameras and video conferencing ensure effective support may be offered through the use the effective communications.
